Dear Brothers and Sisters in Faith,

Greetings from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada. We are in the western part of Newfoundland. Corner Brook is a vibrant and growing town in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. With the growing immigrant community, the Muslim population is increasing significantly here, masha'Allah.

Brothers and Sisters:

As members of the diaspora, we carry our faith with us wherever we go. And we must have the scope to carry out our Islamic practices. Therefore, the first and foremost facility we should have is - ‘a mosque’. Unfortunately, for about 400 Muslim people here in Corner Brook, we do not have a mosque.

The reason we are reaching out to you today is that we are presented with a rare opportunity to buy a property for mosque. It is a spacious two-story, well-constructed property with all the necessary facilities a mosque usually requires. That mosque will be not only the space for our prayer, it will be a learning abode for our children, a center for our culture, a haven for our hearts.

We have already made an offer for the mosque and made the initial payment from us (whatever we had) BUT we are now short of about C$350,000 (Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand). And we have about 30 days to pay this amount, otherwise we lose it!

We are, therefore, kindly asking you to donate generously to this cause. We are quite hopeful that we can do it with your support. Please donate whatever amount you can for this project. Every donation, big or small, will bring us closer to acquiring the property.
